FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Washington, D.C., September 15, 2015 - MedicaSoft today announced that its ehr.NXT electronic health record (EHR) product has achieved Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC-HIT) 2014 Edition Complete Ambulatory and Inpatient EHR Certification from Drummond Group, an Authorized Certification Body (ACB) empowered to test software for compliance with the requirements of the federal government's program. A next generation EHR incorporating a complete suite of clinical and administrative functions, ehr.NXT supports healthcare providers who require new levels of clinical collaboration, patient engagement, analytics, and decision support. This stamp of approval designates that ehr.NXT offers the functionality that enables eligible providers and hospitals to meet Stage 1 and Stage 2 Meaningful Use requirements, qualifying these organizations for participation in CMS' EHR Incentive Program.

ehr.NXT is used by providers and clinicians to manage their patients' health information across healthcare settings, from inpatient to ambulatory encounters and incorporating laboratory, pharmacy, and medical imaging operations. MedicaSoft provides ehr.NXT to hospitals and practices seeking a full suite of EHR capabilities that is open, interoperable, customizable, and cloud-ready.

To earn the certification, ehr.NXT was tested to be in accordance with applicable standards and certification criteria put forth by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

"We listened to healthcare providers who felt that their EHR technology was limiting their ability to drive improvements in outcomes and efficiency," said MedicaSoft CEO Michael O'Neill. "ehr.NXT is a fully open, standards-based, modern architecture that delivers interoperability, flexibility, usability, and scalability. This is an EHR for today and tomorrow."

ehr.NXT, which met the requirements for Complete EHR Ambulatory and Inpatient certifications, is also certified to deliver all clinical and administrative functions and meets all privacy and security criteria, helping providers and clinicians improve health outcomes and manage efficiency.
