MedicaSoft offers an end-to-end infrastructure solution for APCDs that improves administrative and public health decisions by making high-quality claims data and information available to analysts, managers, leaders, and policy makers.

 Like our solutions for HIEs, our infrastructure for APCDs is cloud-based, high-performance, and very scalable. It is designed for bulk data analysis and reporting, uses common standards for connecting to analytical tools, and supports claims and clinical data.

 Our infrastructure solution for APCDs includes a data ingest pipeline and a data warehouse.

Data Ingest Pipeline

MedicaSoft’s data ingest pipeline is built on the same core NXT Platform components as those used in our HIE solutions, including a robust ingest engine for data validation, transformation, and enrichment, and a FHIR Data Repository that serves as a staging area for the data warehouse. It also includes a vast set of Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) routines for delivering data into the data warehouse.

Data Warehouse

MedicaSoft’s data warehouse for analytics combines extreme scalability with the flexibility and ease of use of SQL. It has multi-petabyte capacity and integrates easily with a variety of popular analytics tools, such as Tableau, QuickSight, and Excel. MedicaSoft has experience implementing a variety of data models for our data warehouse customers.

 MedicaSoft’s APCD infrastructure solutions are implemented by a management and technical team with nearly a century of combined experience in Health IT and a track record of integration that spans multiple state-level Health Information Exchanges.
